A new Bill has passed. Nearly five years after a Woodstock family was killed by carbon monoxide poisoning, provincial politicians have passed a bill that mandates all Ontario homes have CO detectors. I think this is a fantastic idea.

It must be time for Christmas as a HUGE 40 Foot Christmas Tree is going up in front of Kitchener City Hall to get ready for the holiday season. They say it takes a whole day to decorate it. Can you imagine how many lights and tinsel it would take?

Christmas was welcomed in this week with the opening of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas at St. Jacobs Country Playhouse. The story follows Second World War buddies, Bob Wallace played by Jeff Irving and Phil Davis played by Kyle Blair, a couple of song and dance men who entertained the troops during the war then took their show on the road after discharge.

It was quite a sight. Six thousand local students, yes 6000… filled The Aud today for the fourth We Day to hit the area. Featured speakers included Martin Luther King III. One of our kids went to the event and she told me she had an amazing time!
